Towards the rain
Take desire out of the equation
Rotate it towards the steady cliffs
And make it desert from your chest
Choose the rocks you throw carefully
And try to hit the side of the head
Before it’s shade turns back to you
Scrap yourself together
From the mud in which your feet stand
And swing the arm with sleight of hand
Stand between the moments of truth
Try to lift your heels from dirt and weed
And walk a course of sympathy and creed
Walk away through endless fields of grain
And harvest different shapes of pain
With the sun in your back towards the rain
